Musical theater artist decides on an old-new life abroad away from her successes in New York City
By Andrew Butler
In the brutally competitive world of New York City musical theater, most composers who have producers knocking on their door don’t leave the country. But after Stephanie Johnstone’s first musical success, she moved to Prague. Andrew Butler sits down with this young expatriate composer to discuss why she left the Big Apple, and what the future holds.
Andrew Butler is a fourth-year student at New York University studying drama. He is from Carabelle, Florida. This piece was originally recorded for Radio Broadcasting, a course at New York University in Prague.
